yoga, exercise tv, cardio classes with a side of diet is just what the beach ordered. what a better way to reward myself than to buy an adorable bathing suit. hopefully, it will be great! i've not had much luck in the past with buying anything online, but bellingham is slim pickings when it comes to variety of suits, so i took the plunge. fortunately i have my backup from last year, so i won't be completely bummed if it's a flop. my choice could go either way really... super cute and unique, or terribly unflattering and awful. time will tell i suppose. this adorable high waisted bikini with pockets can be found at slippery slope bloomers.

say it aint so
the migraine culprit has been found! or so i think it has. drum roll please...chocolate! i ate two small pieces of chocolate this week and got my first migraine today. another thing i found out today, migronal (the newest migraine nasal spray) is yet another drug that doesn't work!

random updates
2 days shy of 50 days on the diet, and it's going great! still migraine free and i feel a hundred times better. when we first started, we eliminated dairy, gluten, meat, sugar, caffeine & alcohol. after the 28 days, we've only introduced fish, chicken, tea & bits of sugar here and there, oh yeah, and white wine too. still no gluten, dairy, red meat, and sweet treats. it feels really good! i have a small 2 lbs to lose before i reach my goal weight (which made me quickly realize that i need a "new" goal weight). two birds with one stone. no migraines, and i feel much better in my clothes. i still have about 10 more lbs to lose before i'm back to where i was when i met ben, but whatever, i'm still proud of myself for starting to lose the unwanted weight. dinner tonight...

in other news, ben had surgery today and everything went smoothly. he's doing great and actually really funny/witty when he's about to be put under, and even more so when he wakes up:)
my dad and dee stopped in seattle while enjoying an awesome cruise. it was great to see them and ben hasn't seen them in years, so it was super fun to hang out for the day.
i think you can tell my dad's happy to see me:)
